How Can severe Dizziness Along With Lightheadedness be Treated?

My friend has the following symptoms: suddenly droopy upper right eyelid, lid will not stay open and at times closes to just a slit, occasional weakness in both arms at night, resulting in arms falling asleep, occasional dizziness and light headedness, sleeplessness at night, increased forgetfulness. He is a 62 yr old male and has been under a lot of increased physical & mental stress at his place of work since January.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank You for the query at HCM

The symptoms could be due to thyroid hormone problems, neuromuscular disorders like myasthenia gravis, or neurological problems like Parkinson's disease.
Physical examination, mental status evaluation, thyroid function test, electromyographic studies, and further investigations depending on initial evaluation are required at this point.

Please be advised to follow-up with a primary care provider to get necessary evaluation done.

Hope I was able to help you
Please address further questions here
